Pacers' George, Suns' Markieff Morris named Players of the Week

The Indiana Pacers' Paul George and the Phoenix Suns' Markieff Morris today were named NBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Mon., Nov. 4-Sun., Nov. 10.

George led Indiana to the only undefeated record in the Eastern Conference on the week (4-0). He led the Pacers in scoring in all four games, and his 24.8 ppg average ranked fifth in the East. The fourth-year forward chipped in with 7.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.75 steals.

Morris helped the Suns to a 3-1 week. The third-year forward tied for seventh in the Western Conference in scoring (22.8 ppg), 14th in rebounding (8.0 rpg), eighth in steals (2.0 spg) and led the league in field goal percentage (.698).

Other nominees for the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week were Atlanta's Paul Millsap and Jeff Teague, Brooklyn's Brook Lopez, Charlotte's Gerald Henderson, Memphis' Mike Conley, Miami's LeBron James, Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant, Portland's LaMarcus Aldridge, San Antonio's Tony Parker and Washington's Bradley Beal.
