The Rockets assigned rookies Isaiah Canaan and Robert Covington to their NBA Development League affiliate Thursday, in time for Friday’s start of the Rio Grande Valley Vipers’ training camp.
Neither has played this season, nor did they travel with the team on its three-game road trip so that they could continue workouts in Houston in preparation for the start of D-League camp.
