Virginia Tech has suspended forward C.J. Barksdale the first three games of the season for a violation of team rules.
Coach James Johnson said Monday that Barksdale "made a bad decision" but still fits prominently into the Hokies' plans. Johnson did not release any details about Barksdale's actions.
