The Boston Celtics have requested waivers on Tyler Zeller, the latest move to create as much salary cap space as possible to sign free agent Gordon Hayward.
The Zeller move does not come as a surprise, in part because of the limited production they got from the 7-foot big man.
Zeller appeared in 51 games this past season for the Celtics while averaging 3.5 points and 2.4 rebounds in a career-low 10.3 minutes per game.
