Detroit Pistons center Aron Baynes has declined his $6.5 million player option with the team to become a free agent.
The Pistons had anticipated Baynes would become a free agent this offseason.
Baynes averaged 4.9 points and 4.4 rebounds in 15.5 minutes per game over 75 appearances last season with the Pistons.
