Josh McRoberts has put himself on the Miami Heat's books for next season, which also means the Heat now are eligible to trade the oft-injured outside-shooting power forward.
McRoberts had until June 29 to invoke his player option for $6 million next season, the final year of the contract he signed in the 2014 offseason in the wake of the Heat losing LeBron James to the Cleveland Cavaliers in free agency.
McRoberts, 30, has been plagued by injury for most of his Heat tenure, appearing in just 81 of a possible 246 regular-season games over his three seasons.
