The Miami Heat announced today that they have re-signed Okaro White and waived forward Derrick Williams. As per club policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.
White, who was previously signed to two 10-day contracts, appeared in nine games with the Heat over that span and averaged 4.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 16.4 minutes while shooting 48 percent (12-of-25) from the field, 46.2 percent (6-of-13) from three-point range and a perfect 7-of-7 from the foul line.
Williams, who was originally signed as a free agent by the Heat on July 10, appeared in 25 games (11 starts) with Miami this season and averaged 5.9 points, 2.9 rebounds and 15.1 minutes while shooting 39.4 percent from the field.
