Memphis Grizzlies General Manager Chris Wallace today announced the team has signed re-signed guard Toney Douglas to a 10-day contract and waived forward Troy Williams.
Douglas (6-2, 195) originally signed with Memphis as a free agent on Dec. 5 pursuant to the NBA’s hardship rule. He appeared in six games as a reserve and averaged 5.8 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 17.8 minutes before he was waived on Dec. 15.
The 30-year-old scored in double figures twice during his first stint with the Grizzlies, including a season-high 14 points in a win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Dec. 14.
Williams (6-7, 218) appeared in 24 games (13 starts) for the Grizzlies during his rookie season and has averaged 5.3 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.00 steals in 17.4 minutes.
