Charlotte Hornets General Manager Rich Cho announced today that the team has signed center Mike Tobey. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Tobey, a four-year player at Virginia, saw action in 138 games during his career, posting averages of 6.8 points and 4.0 rebounds in 16.3 minutes per game.
The Monroe, N.Y. native, went undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft and played in all five games for the Hornets at the Southwest Airlines Orlando Pro Summer League.
He averaged 10.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and 1.0 steals in 20.8 minutes per game, tallying three games of ten-or-more points including one double-double.
