Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul suffered a fracture in his right, shooting hand during Monday night's 98-84 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers and did not return.
Paul suffered the injury while defending Trail Blazers guard Gerald Henderson and was taken out with 6:07 left in the third quarter of Game 4, which evened the series at 2-2.
Paul's fracture was in the third metacarpal, in the center of the palm of his right hand.
Team sources indicated that surgery will likely be needed and that the normal recovery time for the injury is anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks.
