Warriors’ home streak goes to 32 with marquee win over Cleveland

Power forward Draymond Green transformed into his usual fierce competitor leading the Warriors to an 89-83 statement win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in an NBA Finals rematch in front of a national TV audience and a sellout crowd at Oracle Arena.

The Warriors (28-1) have won 32 straight regular-season home games — something only seven teams in NBA history had accomplished, with the last team to do it being the 1996-97 Chicago Bulls.

The Warriors have started this season with 14 consecutive home wins, extending their franchise record, and they used the Christmas stage for the fifth time in the past six years to remind the rest of the league that their record is no fluke.
