Rhode Island standout guard E.C. Matthews, a candidate to win A-10 Player of the Year, will miss the rest of the season with a right knee injury.
Matthews injured his knee in the first half of the Rams' season-opening victory against American on Friday.
The 6-foot-5 Matthews averaged 16.9 points and 4.6 rebounds in 2014-15.
