The Milwaukee Bucks announced their 2015 training camp roster today with the additions of Jon Horford, Josh Powell and Charlie Westbrook.
Training camp opens on Tuesday, Sept. 29, in Madison, Wis., following the team’s annual Media Day on Monday, Sept. 28, from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin Training Center in St. Francis (3501 S. Lake Drive).
Horford was undrafted out of Florida, where he played for one season in 2014-15 as a redshirt senior after spending four years at Michigan from 2010-11 to 2013-14. While with the Gators, he averaged a career-high 6.5 points and 4.8 rebounds over 31 games (28 starts).
Powell joins the Bucks after spending 2015-16 on the Houston Rockets’ bench as a player development coach. As a player, the seven-year NBA veteran has seen time with the Mavericks, Pacers, Warriors, Clippers, Lakers, Hawks and Rockets with career averages of 3.9 points and 2.9 rebounds over 316 games (28 starts).
Milwaukee- native Westbrook played college basketball for Iowa Western Community College before transferring to the University of South Dakota, where he averaged 17.5 points over the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons. He spent last season with Hyères-Toulon of France.
