Dwyane Wade Thursday accepted a one-year, $20 million free-agent deal to return to the Miami Heat.
Sources close to the negotiations confirmed the agreement. The Heat and Wade cannot formally sign off on the deal until July 9, after the NBA's offseason personnel moratorium.
"For my entire NBA career," Wade said in a statement, "Miami has always been my city and my home. I'm overwhelmed with the love and support the Miami community have consistently shown me and my family throughout the years."
