Near the end of this past season, Jae Crowder made it clear that he wanted to remain a member of the Boston Celtics when his contract was up this summer.
Danny Ainge has not been coy about their intentions of re-signing the free agent-to-be, and the team took a step closer towards making that happen by making a qualifying offer to Crowder worth $1.2 million.
The offer makes Crowder a restricted free agent which means the Celtics can match any offer he receives from another team.
