According to multiple sources, Barnes indeed wants an extension and the Warriors want to give him one. The only question is how much will he get.
Unlike San Antonio’s Kawhi Leonard, who also didn’t get the extension he was in due, Barnes isn’t in line for a max extension from the Warriors. His credentials detail he will fall below the $15 million or so Klay Thompson received and Draymond Green will command.
