The Cavs say Kyrie Irving has a right foot strain. The All-Star point guard had imaging done on the foot in the past week. Irving said the problem started in Game 2 of the Boston series.
Imaging was not needed Friday night to see something was wrong with the foot during a 99-96 loss to the Bulls in Game 3.
Irving lacked his usual explosiveness. He did not attack the rim in the first half. He struggled to finish drives he normally makes in the second half. He scored 11 points and shot 3-for-13 from the field. That included 1-for-11 in the second half and 0-for-5 in the fourth quarter.
