New Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday underwent successful surgery to remove a screw from a previously placed rod in his lower right leg, the team announced Wednesday.
A timetable for his return to basketball activities will be determined at a later date.
Holiday, 6 feet 4, 205 pounds, appeared in 40 games for New Orleans this season, averaging 14.8 points, 6.9 assists and 3.4 rebounds. He appeared in three of New Orleans’ four playoff games, averaging 6.3 points, 4.3 assists and 1.0 rebounds.
