On Monday morning, Pelicans coach Monty Williams, a member of the NBA’s competition committee, questioned the legality of the noise level at Oracle.
“I’m not so sure that the decibel level is legal there, and I’m serious,” Williams said at a shootaround at USF. “They’ve done studies on that. Being on the competition committee, there’s got to be something to that because it does get a little out of hand.”
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr got a kick out of the comments, saying before the game, “I’m just going to make an appeal to our fans to be as quiet as possible. That’s the least we can do.”
