The Brooklyn Nets' Bojan Bogdanovic and the Utah Jazz's Rodney Hood today were named the NBA Eastern and Western Conference Rookies of the Month, respectively, for games played in April.
Bogdanovic led all Eastern Conference rookies in scoring (14.4 ppg) and shot 52.6 percent from the field, good for third among all rookies. He also shot 48.8 percent (20-for-41) from three-point range for the month.
Hood finished fourth among all rookies in scoring (16.7 ppg) and seventh in assists (3.4 apg) as the Jazz posted a 5-3 record in April. He shot 45.2 percent from the field and 91.3 percent (21-for-23) from the free throw line.
Other nominees for the NBA Eastern and Western Conference Rookies of the Month were the Los Angeles Lakers' Jordan Clarkson, Minnesota's Andrew Wiggins and Zach LaVine, New York's Langston Galloway, Orlando's Elfrid Payton and Philadelphia's Nerlens Noel.
