Kansas guard Brannen Greene had surgery Thursday to repair a torn labrum in his hip, and the extensive recovery will cause him to miss the World University Games in July.
Greene will be on crutches for about eight weeks and will not return to the court for about five months. He started two of 35 games for Kansas last season, averaging 5.7 points.
