The Denver Nuggets have signed guard Jamaal Frankin, General Manager and Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Tim Connelly announced Sunday.
Franklin, 6-5, 190, has appeared in 21 games (eight starts) for the Los Angeles D-Fenders of the NBA D-League this season, averaging 19.2 points, 8.9 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.48 steals in 34.1 minutes per game.
Prior to that he played in 26 games (three starts) for the Zhejiang Guangsha Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association, averaging 28.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.88 steals in 33.8 minutes.
Franklin, 23, was drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies with the 41st overall pick of the 2013 NBA Draft out of San Diego State University. He appeared in 21 games for Memphis in the 2013-14 season, averaging 1.9 points and 1.1 rebounds in 7.7 minutes.
