Tayshaun Prince becoming just the eighth Detroit Piston to surpass 10,000 points in scoring is a testament to his longevity and durability to answer the bell for 13 seasons.
In Wednesday's loss to Boston, his jump shot in the third quarter gave him 10,001 points at the time and finished the night at 10,004. Prince, 35, joined the Pistons in 2002 and was eventually traded to Memphis and Boston before his second stint.
He joined Isaiah Thomas (18,882), Joe Dumars (16,401), Bob Lanier (15,488), Dave Bing (15,235), Bill Laimbeer (12,664), Richard Hamilton (11,582) and Vinnie Johnson (10,146).
