Rick Barnes is Tennessee's new men's basketball coach, the school announced in a statement Tuesday. The agreement is for six years at $2.25 million annually.
The news comes just two days after Barnes, 60, resigned under pressure at Texas after 17 seasons. Barnes is the all-time winningest coach at Texas and led the Longhorns to the NCAA tournament in all but one season.
