The Hawks intend to sign forward Jarell Eddie to a 10-day contract, according to a person familiar with the situation. The official transaction will likely be completed Thursday.
Eddie, who played for the Austin Spurs of the NBA Development League, was in training camp with the Hawks this season. He played for the Wizards in the 2014 Las Vegas Summer League.
The 6-foot-7 forward out of Virginia Tech played 37 games for Austin and averaged 11.9 points and 3.0 rebounds. He shot .422 (97 of 230) from 3-point range.
