The NBA announced that Sixers forward Robert Covington has been selected to replace teammate Michael Carter-Williams in the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge.
Covington will join Sixers rookie center Nerlens Noel in the event. The game will take place at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Feb. 13 at 9 p.m. ET as part of NBA All-Star 2015 and will be televised by TNT.
Carter-Williams, who has missed the Sixers past three games with a strained right big toe, will also no longer be participating in the Taco Bell Skills Challenge.
