Thunder center Perkins suspended 1 game for head-to-head contact

Oklahoma City center Kendrick Perkins has been suspended one game without pay for initiating and making head to head contact with Tyreke Evans of the New Orleans Pelicans, it was announced Saturday by Rod Thorn, President, Basketball Operations.

The incident occurred with 4:17 remaining in the first quarter of the Thunder's 116-113 loss to the Pelicans at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Perkins will serve his suspension on Sunday, Feb 8, when the Thunder host the Los Angeles Clippers.
