A video from the Cavs-Heat Christmas Day game on the NBA’s YouTube channel raised some serious questions Wednesday.
Around the 2:50 mark of the video, LeBron James speaks to Dwyane Wade. The audio is a bit fuzzy because of the all the ambient noise, but it sounds like he might have said, “Like I said, if we aren’t better this year, we’re gonna reunite again and do some bigger and better things, alright?”
The part in which he might have said, “If we aren’t better this year,” probably is the least clear portion of the clip.
James addressed the video Wednesday and shot down any speculation of him leaving.
“Well, I’ve seen the clip just like you’ve seen the clip,” he said. “I don’t know exactly what I said at the beginning either. I know I said, ‘We’ll get back together, do some bigger and better things.’ But it had nothing to do about basketball.”
