Knicks coach Derek Fisher distanced himself from Phil Jackson’s comments earlier this week in which the team president said he will know by December which players will master the triangle offense and which players won’t.
Jackson’s remarks appeared to be a warning that if a player is still struggling to get the complex offense by then, he could be dealt.
For his part, Fisher said that putting a date on when a player will get the triangle is not in his thinking. Each players learns it at his own pace.
