The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced that the team has exercised the third-year options on forward Anthony Bennett, center Gorgui Dieng and forward Shabazz Muhammad.
Bennett, obtained in a trade from Cleveland on Aug. 23, saw action in 52 games for the Cavaliers in 2013-14, averaging 4.2 points and 3.0 rebounds in 12.8 minutes per game.
Dieng saw action in 60 games last season, including 33 of the final 35; he averaged 4.8 points and 5.0 rebounds in 13.6 minutes per game. He started 15 of the final 18 contests, averaging 12.0 points and 11.3 while collecting nine double-doubles.
Muhammad finished his rookie NBA season by appearing in 37 games for the Wolves, all off the bench, and averaged 3.9 points and 1.4 rebounds in 7.8 minutes per game.
