Illinois announced Thursday that senior point guard Tracy Abrams will miss the 2014-15 season after tearing his right anterior cruciate ligament in preseason skill workouts.
Abrams, who averaged 10.5 points and 3.2 assists last season, is expected to redshirt and return for his final season of eligibility in 2015-16.
A surgery date has not been set, according to the team’s news release.
