The Memphis Grizzlies have waived second-year guard Jamaal Franklin using stretch provision, according to Ronald Tillery of The Memphis Commercial Appeal.
Franklin, 23, averaged 1.9 points, 1.1 rebounds and 7.7 minutes in 21 games for the Grizzlies as a rookie last season.
The Grizzlies had all 15 roster spots assigned to players with guaranteed deals for next year before this move, so now they have some flexibility to add somebody else.
