The Hawks agreed to a three-year, $10 million contract with the restricted free agent forward Mike Scott Friday night. The deal is for two years guaranteed plus a team option.
The 2012 second-round draft pick received a qualifying offer from the Hawks earlier this summer. Scott was free to sign an offer sheet from any team with the Hawks holding the right to match any contract. It didn’t come to that.
The 26-year-old Scott had a breakout year with the Hawks in his sophomore campaign. He averaged 9.6 points and 3.6 rebounds 18.5 minutes per game last season.
