The Lakers waived point guard Kendall Marshall, who started 45 games during the 2013-14 season, on Friday morning.
Appearing in 54 games (eighth on the team), Marshall averaged 8.0 points, 8.8 assists (second in the league to Chris Paul) and 2.9 rebounds on 40.6 percent field goals plus 39.9 percent from three.
L.A. currently has Jeremy Lin, Steve Nash and Jordan Clarkson – L.A.'s 2014 second round draft pick – on the roster at the point guard position.
