The Cavaliers have lured Tyronn Lue away from the Clippers to join new coach David Blatt's staff by making him one of the NBA's highest paid assistant coaches.
Lue, who has been an assistant with the Boston Celtics and Clippers with Doc Rivers over the past five seasons, will make about $1 million per season to work with the Cavs young guards Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters, sources said.
The Cavs interviewed Lue twice and he was a finalist for the head coaching job before the team decided to hire Blatt last week.
