If Knicks president Phil Jackson calls, Patrick Ewing will be in New York in a minute.
“I’d love to go back to New York,” Ewing said Sunday on CBS Sports Radio. “I’m not sure what is going to happen in terms of who they’re going to have fill that void, but if I get a call, I’m ready.”
Ewing has been an assistant coach since 2003 — he’s currently the associate head coach with the Charlotte Hornets — but hasn’t garnered serious consideration for a head job despite his bench experience and Hall of Fame resume as a player with the Knicks.
