Kevin McHale will return as the Rockets coach for next season, a person with knowledge of the decision said Saturday.
McHale just completed the final guaranteed season of his contractand the fourth year of his contract was subject to a team option but it appears the Rockets are sticking with him.
The Rockets were 54-28 this season and have made the playoffs the last two years.
