Nets coach Kidd fined for criticizing officials

Brooklyn Nets coach Jason Kidd has been fined $25,000 for public criticism of the referees, the league announced Friday.

Kidd made his comments during a conference call with the media on Thursday, a day after the Nets' 115-113 loss in Game 5.

Kidd questioned why Joe Johnson shot only one free throw in the Nets' loss. He even went a step further, criticizing one official by name saying Shaun Livingston was fouled “right in front of Tom Washington."
