UConn center Amida Brimah has surgery scheduled to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder and is expected to be sidelined for up to five months.
The 7-foot freshman from Ghana played in all 40 games for the national champion Huskies, averaging just over four points and three rebounds. He also blocked 92 shots.
