The Bucks say a specialist in Los Angeles examined Ersan Ilyasova's ankle on Tuesday and instead of surgery, recommended rest and rehabilitation starting immediately.
Milwaukee says based on that recommendation, Ilyasova is not expected to play the rest of the season.
