Former SMU/NBA player Quinton Ross said Monday was a "tough day" after being reported dead.
According to ProBasketballTalk.nbcsports.com, Ross called into Dallas station K104 to make sure everyone knew he was OK.
"It's been a crazy morning…" he said over the air. "I woke up and saw these text messages saying 'say it ain't so,' so I called around to see what was going on."
Another man named Quinton Ross had been discovered dead in a shallow grave in Queens, New York. The New York Post originally wrote that it was the former SMU/NBA player. The Post retracted the story about an hour later.
