Caron Butler is free to pick the NBA team for the rest of the season.
Butler, a native of Racine, became an unrestricted free agent Thursday morning after he and the Milwaukee Bucks reached an agreement on the buyout of his contract.
Butler’s contract for this season is $8 million. Terms of the buyout weren’t known.
