Marco Belinelli became the first Spur to win the 3-Point Contest during the NBA’s All-Star Saturday extravaganza, beating Washington guard Bradley Beal with a dominant final round in New Orleans.
Belinelli, the NBA’s fifth-leading 3-point shooter at 44.8 percent, shook off two air balls to win the West field — which included Golden State’s Stephen Curry — with a 19, while Beal advanced from the East with a 21 that lead all eight first-round shooters.
