Torn ACL sidelines Pittsburgh's Johnson for season

Pittsburgh sophomore forward Durand Johnson will miss the rest of the season after tearing the ACL and meniscus in his right knee in Saturday's win over Wake Forest.

The 6-foot-6 Johnson was injured while driving to the basket with 5:30 remaining in Pittsburgh's 80-65 victory. He was fouled on the play and made two free throws before leaving.

He is expected to undergo surgery within the next week and to be back in 9 to 12 months.

Johnson was blossoming as Pitt's sixth man, averaging 8.8 points and 3.0 rebounds.
