Colorado State tried to be king of the comeback, but when inexperience and a Top 25 college basketball program meet, it's usually the veterans that pull through. SDSU proved that with a 71-61 victory at Moby Arena.
There were three ties as CSU erased deficits of six and eight points, but the Aztecs (11-1, 1-0 Mountian West) never trailed. After the 10:06 mark of the second half, they never allowed CSU to get within six points of the lead.
For the 12th time in 15 seasons, CSU lost its Mountain West-opener.
