Rockets' Beverley breaks hand, out 4-6 weeks

The Rockets will be without starting point guard Patrick Beverley for likely the next 4-6 weeks as he broke his hand in Saturday's game against the Pistons.

Beverley, who has started 23 games this season for the Rockets, will be out through most of January as he recovers.

The Rockets have already been dealing with injuries to James Harden (ankle sprain) and Jeremy Lin (back spasms) so an extended absence to Beverley could hurt a little more.

Beverley, 25, is averaging 9.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists this season.
