French sports daily L’Equipe has named Spurs All-Star Tony Parker its national male Athlete of the Year for the second time after leading Les Bleus to their first European championship at last summer’s EuroBasket tournament.
Parker was also cited for his sterling play last season, averaging 20.3 points and 7.6 assists as the Spurs narrowly missed their fifth NBA championship.
Parker previously won the award in 2003 after helping the Spurs win their second title.
