The morning after Mike Woodson failed to use one of the Knicks’ three timeouts in the final seconds of a stunning 102-101 loss to Washington, the coach announced Amar’e Stoudemire will be sidelined for “a while” with knee swelling.
Stoudemire then took to Twitter to refute the coach’s claim, insisting he is only resting.
Stoudemire did not travel with the Knicks for Wednesday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks but seemed to suggest he would be available for Saturday’s game against Memphis.
