Heat's Mason Jr. robbed in Miami restaurant

Miami Heat player Roger Mason Jr. and his sister were robbed at a Biscayne Boulevard restaurant Sunday night, but police said they recovered the NBA guard’s Rolex after a chase ended with the arrest of two suspects on Monday.

Mason and his sister (whose purse was stolen) were two of several victims of the armed robbery at Ni.Do. Caffe, an Italian mozzarella bar at 7295 Biscayne Blvd., Miami Police spokeswoman Frederica Burden said.

Shots were fired either inside or outside the restaurant but no one was hit, and the four suspects fled the scene, Burden said.

Mason, a 10-year NBA veteran, is in his first season with the Heat. He is averaging 3 points and 1 assist per game this season.
