Tim Hardaway Jr.’s 21-point performance could push Iman Shumpert closer to the exit.
The Knicks have been looking to trade Shumpert to create more playing time for Hardaway, who scored 12 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter of the Knicks’ 103-99 loss to New Orleans on Sunday night.
Hardaway made six of 10 shots, including five of nine 3-pointers, while Shumpert finished with seven points and seven rebounds in 21 minutes.
